Introduction

East Asia Electric Technology Research Workshop every year

Since 1988, KERI and CRIEPI hold ‘East Asia Electric Technology Research Workshop’ every year. Then CEPRI bacame a partner of the group in 2003 and TPRI participated in the workshop as an observer in 2009. Each Institute exchanges information in electrical field and makes plans how to cooperate on R&D.

Central Research Institute of Electric Power Industry (CRIEPI)

Central Research Institute of Electric Power Industry

CRIEPI was established in 1951 as a Japanese nonprofit foundation to undertake research and development activities related to energy and the environment. CRIEPI is doing research and development related to energy and the envikronment for the solution of various problems in electricity utilities and the society.

China Electric Power Research Institute (CEPRI)

Central Research Institute of Electric Power Industry

CEPRI is a high-tech enterprise wholly-owned by State Grid Smart Grid Research Institute (SGSGRI). CEPRI is mainly involved in the research, manufacturing and engineering of HVDC Classic transmission and VSC-HVDC transmission schemes, as well as the integration of nuclear power testing equipment.

Taiwan Power Company (TPC) / Taiwan Power Research Institute (TPRI)

“Taiwan Power Company” (TPC) was organized on May 1, 1946. TPC provides service to 12.77 million customers on the island of Taiwan and the Kinmen and Matsu islets. The company’s major business items are power development, power supply, investment in power-related businesses, energy technology services, management consulting services, real estate development, rental and leasing business, etc.

Taiwan Power Research Institute (TPRI) is a TPC’s research institute. TPRI is focusing on electric power management policy in Taiwan, establishing operation strategy of generating units and new renewable energy.
